This is a guesthouse located directly in front of the Ie Project's Minamidera. It's a 60-year-old house that has been renovated into a guesthouse with a simple and calm atmosphere.

Guest House Roji to Akari is a renovated traditional Japanese house, reminiscent of Sazae-san's home, located directly in front of the Ie Project Minami Temple.
We renovated it ourselves, painstakingly plastering the walls and building shelves, and opened in January 2013.
Some of the furniture, like sofas, are things that were used on Naoshima in the past, or things we've discovered at flea markets or antique shops.
Located in a corner of a village alley, you can get a close feel for the everyday lives of Naoshima's residents.
We also recommend relaxing in a sunny engawa, reading a book or basking in the sun.
We hope that the encounters and memories made at this inn will be like the faint light of the lamps on the village alleys at night, accompanying your journey.
Furthermore, each and every guest, not only from within Japan but from all over the world, is the light of this inn.
First-time guests at guesthouses are very welcome.
