Benesse House, with the concept of "coexistence of nature, architecture, and art," opened its "Museum," a facility integrating a museum and hotel, in 1992. Since then, it has added accommodation buildings "Oval" (1995) and "Park" and "Beach" (both 2006), as well as restaurants, cafes, a spa, and shops open to the general public.
