The ginkgo trees on the island have all shed their leaves, and the autumn colors on the mountains have deepened.
I snapped a photo of the other day's sunset. It slowly sinks beyond the Setouchi Shimanami.
It is indeed dusk. The magic hour.
After this, every year, illuminations are lit in the Miyanoura Port Green Space, where the red pumpkin is located, only during the winter. You can also see the moment they light up from the 5 PM ferry to Takamatsu.
As this is the season that would normally be the off-peak period, many shops on the island will have irregular closing days, so we recommend contacting them in advance if there's a specific shop you want to visit.
Winter is the perfect season to leisurely enjoy art. We hope you will take every infection control measure and enjoy a luxurious time on Naoshima.
