The hot days continue every day! Naoshima is also in the height of summer with a blazing sun, but on days when there's a sea breeze, it's quite refreshing! AndThe four-day weekend in July and Obon in August have seen a significant increase in visitors compared to April, though not as many as in typical years.

So, I have a request for everyone. Our island has a large elderly population, and since there is no hospital (only a clinic), we are working hard to implement measures against the new coronavirus. We hope that both visitors and islanders can enjoy their time here safely. Therefore, please come and enjoy the island while being mindful of possible measures such as wearing masks on transportation like boats and buses, and avoiding crowded areas indoors and outdoors.

Also, please don't forget that masks may not be available for purchase on the island!

Leaving your home and returning safely makes for a fun trip. Please be mindful of various safety precautions, act in a way that protects not only your own life but also the lives of others, and have a wonderful time!
