Maintenance is complete.

January is a time when many art facilities and artworks undergo maintenance, and the number of tourists also decreases considerably. On the other hand, those who visit when facilities are open may have the opportunity to view artworks in a "private viewing" state, depending on the timing, or to take photos from various angles without worrying about others (in designated areas where photography is allowed), enjoying a luxurious experience. At Naoshima Bath "I♥Yu," some visitors have had the chance to enjoy a private bath depending on the time of day. It's still cold, so please come and warm up.

The "Red Pumpkin" in Miyaura Port is also getting a makeover to match this season. Every year, experts in maintenance perform marvelous repairs, restoring its glossy sheen! We want to cherish it!

With inbound travel regulations easing, tourist information centers are experiencing days where they say, "Huh? Today, we're only guiding people speaking foreign languages, it feels like we're back to pre-COVID times." Group buses have also started to arrive occasionally. However, since it is the off-season, everyone is relaxed and taking it easy.
After maintenance, the museum will resume its regular opening hours (closed on Mondays, except for Benesse House Museum, Valley Gallery, and Hiroshi Sugimoto Gallery). In February,Valley Gallery: 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM (last entry 11:15 AM) / 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM (last entry 3:30 PM)So, please be aware if you plan to go around lunchtime.
