The Naoshima Rice Cultivation Project isAn art project set in the fallow rice paddies of the Sekiura region in Naoshima Town, known as Sekiura Denen.is.
2006Naoshima Standard Exhibition held in 2In connection with this, we are reviving rice cultivation on Naoshima, which had been on the verge of disappearing, and are restoring the rural landscape to land that had fallen into disrepair.
You can savor the freshly harvested rice from Naoshima for a limited time at select restaurants and inns on the island.
Please enjoy our rice, available only on Naoshima, as it's paired with dishes at each restaurant.
