Naoshima is now in the height of summer! The sun's rays feel like they're scorching down.

However, in the shade with a breeze, it feels refreshing and the apparent temperature drops somewhat.

If you plan to cycle or walk around the island, hats and parasols are essential, so please be careful not to suffer from heatstroke.

At Kotanjijima Beach in Tsutsujiso, every summer, a floating island, a diving platform, and boundary ropes indicating the swimming area are set up.

 In early July, male staff members of Naoshima Town Hall worked together to install it, timing it with the low tide.

The diving board is incredibly heavy; they say it takes several adults working together to move it. Great job!

Holidays are very crowded. That said, this is what it's like. The skyscraper (?) in the distance is Takamatsu.

One weekday it felt like a private beach!?

The sea and sky are a vibrant blue!

This year, it is scheduled to be removed on August 20th.
