Island of Salt "Naoshima"
Salt has been produced on the Naoshima Islands since ancient times, dating back to the era of Queen Himiko.
It continued until the Showa era, and salt production was one of Naoshima's industries.
The evidence remains in numerous ancient burial mounds and up to 500 trillion pottery shards, and it has been designated as a national historic site as a salt-making site.
By adding modern wisdom to that technology, SOLASHIO is created.

SOLASHIO's commitment
SOLASHIO is 100% sun-dried salt
Generally, sea salt that is widely sold is made by dissolving imported sea salt and then boiling it in a pot to save time. However, SOLASHIO makes salt from Seto Inland Sea seawater using only the heat of the sun. This is because making a flavorful, "living" salt requires time and effort. Sea salt made solely with the heat of the sun is very rare in Japan.

"SOLASHIO" Ingredients
SOLASHIO contains 166mg of potassium and 1200mg of calcium.
Contains 538mg of magnesium. (Per 100g of product)
(May 26, 2011 / Kagawa Pharmaceutical Association Testing Center)
Compared to regular salt (sea salt from overseas dissolved and recrystallized), SOLASHIO is rich in various components, bringing depth to its flavor.
